BLOG #1.1- Game Evaluation

1. What game(s) did your group play today?

My group played Dominios , Yahtzee, and Cranium.

2. Briefly describe how your game works. What is the objective of the game?

For dominios the game works like this each person gets 7 dominio pieces , and the person with the double six goes first if not , then any person can go first. After the first person plays then the second person must draw a dominio piece the dominio piece contains 2 sides of numbers and the piece you must draw needs to be equivalent to the numbers on either the top or the bottom of the piece your are selecting. The objective of the game is the person who runs out of pieces first wins.
For Yahtzee the game has to be played like this each person rolls around 6 or 5 dices , and you have to count the number all together and add it for your finial score. The objective of the game is to get a yahtzee which is a number repeated more than once, and if you get a yahtzee then you get a golden chip.
The objective of Cranium is to have two teams the first time must read out the card to another team based on the color that appears when the dice is being rolled. One person in the apposite team must draw, write, act out , or make a model with like clay or something. the person who reaches the "finish" wins.

3. Were the rules clear? If not , what made them hard to understand

The rules for dominios was very clear , and easy to understand. Also the rules for Cranium , but the rules for Yahtzee was difficult because there was a lot of rules, and i never played the game before , and the picture demonstrations on the instructions was not very clear, and didn't make it easy for me to get a clear picture of what the objectives were of the game.

4. Was the board attractive, Colorful, etc.? Explain
The game dominios did not bring a board also the Yahtzee did not either , but the cranium board was very attractive because it was categorized by colors and had different images to attract the consumer into playing this game for a while without losing interest.

5. What is one Positive element of the game?

One positive Element out of these games is that they help you learn and have a basic understanding of some concepts for example in the cranium game , it helps you enhance very different concepts and different educational facts about the world around us , that many people don't really get into depth in.

6. What is one specific thing that can be improved ? EXPLAIN.

One specific thing that can be improved is the way the instructions are for Yahtzee , because in the beginning it may seem boring but if you really start paying attention or ready it, it gets a little more interesting but for the most part its not. For Cranium They can improve it by adding more ways to interact in the game.

7. What age group is this game for ? How could this game be altered to make it appropriate for a younger audience? How could this game be altered to make it appropriate for an older audience?

For cranium the age group that is being targeted is all ages as long as you can read and write also comprehend certain materials. This game can be altered by letting more people play the game , so instead of just around 6 people play they should make it 9 or 10 people.

This game can be appropriate for older types of audience by asking different types of questions like about the world around us in specific. Also For dominions it can be improved by adding a board , and adding more crafts into it. this would be appropriate for all ages.
